This photograph is part of my project "Peaceful but Grand", which is a series that I started in 2020 in response to the Black Lives Matter protests across America.
It reflects my aim to allow the viewer permission to see Black people, especially men, the way I do — wrapped in warmth, love, light, and deserving of your protection.
