Shattered lenses and optical instruments litter the dusty floor, while a massive, ancient refracting telescope points toward a blindingly bright, hexagonal opening in the ceiling. A low, pulsating thrumming noise seems to be maintaining a constant, still air pressure in the room, despite a strong gust of wind howling outside, somehow carrying the scent of distant smoke. A glowing crescent moon has somehow become stuck, permanently attached to one wall.
