"Pulsations" is an open edition generative art piece that captures the dynamic interplay of geometry and motion. It will serve as a Genesis Pass for my upcoming collection "Based Blocks".
Pulsations is a unique symphony of animated cubes orchestrated through a carefully crafted algorithm. The code, written in p5.js, utilizes a 3D WEBGL canvas to create a mesmerizing visual experience that transcends the static nature of traditional art.
With this piece, viewers are invited to witness an ever-changing landscape of blocks that rise and fall in a rhythmic dance. The scale of the cubes and their distribution across the canvas create a sense of depth and movement, further enhanced by the rotation of the entire scene, which adds a layer of complexity to the visual performance.
The algorithm's use of sine waves to modulate the height and displacement of each block results in a fluid, organic motion that is both predictable in its cycle yet unique in each iteration. The contrast of the stark black background against the luminous blocks accentuates the vibrancy of the motion, creating a stark visual impact.
