GAME OF LYFE marks the 50th (and final) work in my EDITIONZ collection ❤️‍🔥 this work is inspired by a rly dope (and also super popular) "cellular automoton" devised in 1970 by John Conway, called "Conway's Game of Life" A note from the artist: "To me, this piece is far beyond just a model of pixels interacting and dancing with each other... It represents the final piece in my EDITIONZ collection. With over 10,600 pieces and 3,927 holders as of this writing, I can feel in my heart that EDITIONZ is complete. This is the final piece, a limited edition free for anyone to claim, with a total possible supply of 96, bringing the EDITIONZ final supply count to 10,699. It’s time now for a new phase, the second phase of SM, where i challenge myself more than ever to be the best artist i can possibly be, taking everything i’ve learned over the last 3 years and pushing forward in my own way, following my heart every step of the journey (more details on what's next for me coming soon... 😮‍💨🙏). But for now, this is Satoshi's Mom's final piece in the EDITIONZ collection. And I'm so damn grateful for every single person who's ever collected my work... and I’m also so excited for the future of Satoshi's Mom and the future of digital art as a whole ❤️‍🔥 Cheers to the future and everything ahead <333 Much love my friend. –SM” update from SM, 8/18/2024: "initially i had capped the EDITIONZ collection at 50... but when thinking about it, and the journey ahead, i plan to mint art for many decades more. this collection was started in 2022, and i minted 50 editions in it so far, and it spans ~4000 collectors over 10699 pieces... it feels congruent and rly good for me to continue on in that collection, which is why today, 8/18/2024, i've minted the 51st edition in this collection and am deciding to continue on in this smart contract. i believe so many artists, even many of the current greats, have insane fragmentation to their work across the years i want to consolidate and bring more awareness back to this awesome initial collection of mine that has so many dope asf pieces but also shows my progression since 2022 in a rly dope way cheers to breaking rules, to doing what everyone says not to, whether thats minting open editions, minting "too much", minting "free mints" - etc. this game is about doing what WE wanna do as artists, and truly not giving af. make art for you. document it using the chain. be fearless, and mint unapologetically, create art unapologetically. this is our journey: we are writing the pages. it's on us to decide what we want and to go for it like pho says: artists gotta FAFO LFG, –SM"
