Description
This event must be attended by a palabrero, who is a judge and mediator of the Wayúu culture's problems. This character in the photograph must be respected by the whole community because they play an important role in justice issues. The Wayúu Indians are the largest population among the indigenous peoples of Colombia. Their culture prevails despite westernization, mourning after the death of a loved one is very important and it is part of their traditions to honor their members.
