"Parallel Worlds" captures four distinct scenes within Japan's bustling streets, each existing in its own reality yet harmoniously united in one frame. A two man cigarette-lighting moment forms a serene bubble amidst the urban chaos. A sophisticated lady exudes elegance in the middle ground. A motorcyclist's temporary pause behind a taxi captures a fleeting frustration, frozen in time. Finally, in the right corner, a cook finds tranquility in a cigarette's gentle exhales amid culinary chaos. These ‘Parallel Worlds’ coexist simultaneously, offering viewers a glimpse into diverse experiences converging at the same place, on the same planet, transcending time and space in a single mesmerizing photograph. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Nicolas is a self-taught and exhibited digital photographer exploring the boundaries of his craft. "Parallel Worlds" was taken on his recent trip to Japan in May of 2023. Using one still photograph he is able to recreate the lively scenes he experienced.
