Description

In the heart of Tokyo's nightlife, I came to an abrupt halt outside a busy restaurant. A tidal wave of humanity surged around me, oblivious to my presence. Through my viewfinder, I fixated on a solitary man, my inner voice a relentless chant: "Look at me, look at me". Until, finally, the man sitting 'Between Dates' succumbed to my silent plea. With a quick click, he was 'Caught Staring', frozen in time, before I vanished into the chaotic night that is Shinjuku. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Nicolas is a self-taught and exhibited photographer exploring the boundaries of his craft. "Caught Staring Between Dates" was taken on his recent trip to Japan in May of 2023. Using one still photograph he is able to recreate the lively scenes he experienced.
