Description
Bit Mother is a physical painting with a digital soul. The woman represents humanity. The coloured roundel represents the detail of a Gothic stained glass window symbolising the ancient god. The golden Bitcoin logo represents the new god of the contemporary era. Above it hangs the QR code portal through which one can access the digital work stored in the physical painting. The physical painting and the entire digital work are executed entirely by Roberto Giavarini. He maintains that the true artist is the one who masters the techniques and creates the entire work independently. The 2D digital work is a futuristic elaboration of the physical painting: a shining golden monolith, an electronic board in which the human merges with the digital. The inscription of the magic square SATOR projects ancestral enigmas onto the entire composition.
The 3D work is a work of great complexity: the physical painting and the 2D digital work are sublimated into a three-dimensional performance.
