'The Shroombots' are an integral part of life in the 'Dreamverse'.
No one knows who made them, where they came from or even when they were first seen wandering the roads of the World. They've just always been there.
No one truly knows why they're important, but without them there is no balance in the World and it just goes to chaos.
They all stopped working one day, for no apparent reason! The next day the AI City of LoR was founded, it appeared like a cancer and has been growing ever since.
They carry with them a singular emotion. Some are Happy, some sad, some euphoric, some depressed.
They are never shy, but some will with-hold themselves from direct conversation.
They shed spores consistently at varying levels of quantity based on how strong their emotion is. Breathing these spores will make you feel their emotion as your own, which is why it's often dangerous to interact with a Shroombot before knowing which one it is.
Shroombots are technically a robot skeleton with a non-edible fungus growing as part of it's structure. The machine parts are part of the Fungal flesh. A symbiosis of mechanical protection.
They range in height from inches to meters tall and the diameter of their Fungal head is nearly always half of their total height.
Shroombot X-04 and CR1-M.INI (01)
You'll only ever find a CR1-M.INI along side a Shroombot.
X-04 is a Data bot, when they have a CR1-M.INI at their side they are able to hack into other bots together and stealing their traits temporarily. Being around them both together will hypnotise you to feel more intelligent than necessary, for just long enough for them to blame you on their crime.
If they enjoy your company they will keep you.
