At the height of the crypto currency financial boom, Mara, an autistic savant, was obsessed with staying on top of all the trends and dedicated ungodly hours to her crypto trading, often spending multiple nights in a row glued to her devices making minor trades and making thousands of dollars with each transaction. She was able to manage for a while, but with the great crypto crash of 2022, she became desperate and became highly addicted and dependent on the use of narcotics and methamphetamine to stay functioning and keep her losses to a minimum. She knew she needed to change, and decided to take her dedicated energy into the military, where she became the go to girl for most strategic officers when needing someone to ensure accurate data collection. Her work was so effective, and her mind so sharp, that despite the intolerance to substance abuse in the military, everyone turned a blind eye to her drug use, as they couldn’t imagine having to make their statistical decisions without her.
