creative process: I have used macro photography techniques to capture small details using a 100mm canon lens. A flat bed epson scanner has also been used to create some of the background elements, this technique is now commonly known as scanography. Photoshop has been used to clear the backgrounds from some of the elements and then compose this into a seamless organic photo montage composite.

The most valuable and limited thing we have in this life is time. The ability to live in the moment is an art in itself. The butterfly makes the most of it in its short but beautiful life. Tropical breeze is a celebration of life and the power of fragility. It reminds us to take the time to experience the beauty in the natural world and enjoy everyday moments in life.
I live in the rainforest of northern Australia where this image was created.Tropical rainforests are known as the world’s largest pharmacy. Over one-quarter of modern medicines originate from its plants and still many more are yet to be discovered.
