Lieutenant Xeroth of the Resistance was a formidable warrior with a fierce reputation. He had been fighting against the Invaders for many years, He could heal from injuries that would have killed a normal human. Once he enhanced his genes with the Invader’s technology, his senses had become sharper and more acute. Xeroth was no longer completely human, but he believed that this was a small price to pay for victory. As Xeroth became addicted to the power and superiority that the Invaders genes could provide, he began to distance himself from the other members of the Resistance. He spent more and more time in Dr. Gene Splicer’s lab, experimenting on himself and perfecting his genetic alterations. He lost touch with his emotions, and became colder and more calculating, and wondered if maybe he was becoming a superior being. Better than both the Invaders and the other Resistance members. An ego unchecked by the emotion of shame is a dangerous weapon. His constant experimentation eventually mutated his genes to such a degree that his organs began to fail from diseases heretofore unknown on Planet Earth. He experimented on himself more, hoping advanced intelligence and self-healing would provide a cure, but found himself deteriorating quicker. Ultimately, Xeroth was killed in battle, his body destroyed by a weapon that he had once believed he was invulnerable to. Let his memory serve as a message to love yourself as you are.
