About 71% of the Earth's surface is covered in water, and when conversations around migration come up there is no denying the fact that most migrants choose to make their journeys through water. This piece explores the relationship between migration and water, using Whitefish (Sig), an endangered species of fish found in Europe, to highlight the perils that African migrants face when they set forth to the continent of Europe for a better life.
