On the ferry from Kurihama to Kanaya, something really special happened. While I was making my way around the ferry to find various things to photograph, I noticed a bunch of birds flying behind the boat. As I arrived at the back of the boat, I noticed the birds were hawks, and these hawks were following the boat because passengers on the sun deck were throwing food into the air for them to catch and eat. I quickly made my way up to the sun deck and stood in disbelief of what I was seeing. The hawks were slowly gliding overhead, waiting for a piece of food to be thrown into the sky. As a passenger would throw something into the air, one of the hawks would swoop down, catch the food in their talons, and pull away to enjoy their snack. I pulled out my camera, and did my best to hopefully get the frame lined up and in focus to capture one of these hawks in action. Thankfully, I was able to capture this epic moment aboard the Tokyo Wan Ferry.
