Thousands quaked and quivered, watching the orb swallow up the sun and turn the day into night. Wise men and seers warned of the evils that caused such an end of days, and now it was time to appease the vengeful gods... This artwork is part of a series of works exploring our reactions to the unfamiliar and how our interpretations give birth to symbolism and myth. The ‘red object’ series of works all derive from the same single mixed-media painting, which Adam has processed repeatedly through a GAN app and then digitally reworked, resulting in these variations.
