I played the goofy one, the endless show,
Always using my trump card, no one to know.
To make others happy, I danced and smiled,
Sacrificing my own, all the while.
For them who never saw the truth in me,
Who whispered words, sharp as they could be.
Saying bad behind my back, with glee,
They didn’t see, didn’t care, didn’t set me free.
But now, I use my final card, no more disguise,
I’m free, untethered, beyond their lies.
To heaven I go, the weight undone,
And at last, I’ll be the happiest one.
