NFT is "digital data with a certificate of authenticity and ownership that cannot be falsified. However, many NFT marketplaces are flooded with fake NFTs. What certificate does this fake NFT really have on it? Does it prove that it is a fake? Or is it just an ornament to make it look real? The same thing is happening to real works of art. The alleged forgery of da Vinci's last work, "Salvator Mundi," which was sold for approximately 51 billion yen. Was it a conspiracy by profit beneficiaries? Numerous other fakes are said to be circulating in the art industry as the genuine article.This may prove that even fakes can be as valuable as the real thing if a certificate of authenticity exists. Isn't the value of art today just an illusory value that the profit beneficiaries have just given a certificate (a certificate of authenticity or an endorsement by an authority)? This time, "FAKE" is an attempt to attach a certificate to a fake work and give it an illusory value. Leonardo, Balloon, Cross, and AI all used AI to generate images of subjects related to "FAKE," such as suspected fakes, imitations of ready-made products, and not produced by humans. NFTは「偽造不可な鑑定書・所有証明書付きのデジタルデータ」。しかし多くのNFTマーケットプレイスでは偽物のNFTが溢れかえっている。果たしてこの偽物のNFTは何の鑑定書を付けているのだろうか？偽物ということを証明してくれているのだろうか？それとも本物に見せるための装飾品なのか。現実のアート作品にも同じことが起こっている。約510億円で売却された、ダ・ヴィンチ最後の作品『サルバトール・ムンディ』の偽物疑惑。利益受益者による陰謀だったのか？他にも数多くの偽物が本物として出回っているとされるアート業界。この事は偽物でも鑑定書が存在すれば本物同様の価値が出るという証明ではないだろうか。現在のアートの価値とは、利益受益者が証明書（鑑定書や権威者のお墨付き）を出しただけの幻想的価値ではないのか。今回の『FAKE』は偽物の作品に証明書をつけ、幻想的価値をつけようとする試みである。『Leonardo』『Balloon』『Cross』『AI』は、全て偽物疑惑、既製品の模倣、人が制作していないなど、『FAKE』にまつわる題材をAIによって画像生成した。
