As a Senior Automotive Designer, Chris Maestas (0009) creates conceptual paintings that serve as visual representations of contours, line projections, and sections of three-dimensional shapes, which are essential sources of information in Industrial Design. Chris is driven to express the fusion of precision mathematics and graffiti-style artistry, resulting in a unique juxtaposition and execution known as Auto Graffica. The process behind these distinctive works involves the use of three-dimensional digital tools to create mathematically precise automotive models as the foundation for the artwork. This entails the mathematical execution of NURBS (Non-uniform rational basis spline) modeling using basis splines (B-splines).
